Are you looking at life half-full or half-empty?
I’ve been writing “what if” statements during my journal time... and it has literally changed my entire outlook. It helps me to clearly see on paper how I am talking to myself in real life.
Am I looking at life half-full or half-empty?
I say this because as I was writing down some “what if” statements for the Fill Your Cup Conference... and I had no idea how hard I was really being on myself! We are stepping out in faith and trusting God every step of the way... but did I REALLY believe that?
*insert screeching brakes sound*
HOLD UP.
What the crap?
Amber, snap out of it.
Let’s try this again...
What if we sell out before the event and more women show up than we even expected?
What if all the right women are there because they’re meant to be there?
What if I say all the right authentic things and inspire the room?
What if we can touch just ONE woman’s life? *And I’m officially crying*
I completely shifted my thoughts of “What if we fail?” 👉🏼 “What if we wildly succeed?”
Doing something new like a big, scary dream of launching a conference has been a beautiful (and terrifying) for my personal and professional growth.
Do you have a big, scary thing happening right now? A big change? A big upcoming event? A hard conflict? How do you feel about it?
Maybe try doing this:
Write your raw “what if” statements and see how you’re talking to yourself about it.
Is it negative? Switch the script.
Then read it out loud!
Feel the immediate shift in your attitude about it and positive change in your outlook.
Sending hugs!
Love, Am
